SYUN has launched a new collaboration with the Chess Academy of Armenia to help restore regional chess education in Armenia’s border communities.

The initiative begins with the opening of a new chess branch in Kornidzor, Syunik, with future plans to expand to Vachagan in the Kapan region. The project will provide children with access to equipped chess classrooms, qualified local coaches, and additional trainings supported by the Chess Academy.

By strengthening educational opportunities in frontier communities, the program aims to support intellectual growth, community resilience, and the revival of Armenia’s regional chess network.
