ABOUT US
SYUN was created by a team who united after the devastating 44-day war in Artsakh to support and empower any project or initiative that contributes to the building of a new Armenia by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
SYUN is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit under EIN 38-4172267. Donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable under the law.
THE MODEL OF OUR FUNDING
We believe in transparency and responsibility in the process of funding our projects. Out process is to:
- Choose projects which are important and urgent.
- Secure contractual agreement from the recipients on how much funds are needed for each project and how they will be spent.
- Fund each project in stages while monitoring the completion of each stage.
- Report to our donors on how their donations were spent.
SYUN’s funds are generated both by monthly payments from SYUN subscribers and one-time donations. While we organize occasional fundraisings, we believe member subscription model is the most effective way to support our projects. It allows us to better budget our funds and fund bigger projects.

OUR PROJECTS
A SYUN Story
One of our beneficiaries is a woman named Tigranuhi, who lost her husband in the war. She was having a hard time explaining to her four-year-old why daddy wouldn’t be coming home. Tigranuhi was looking to professional literature for guidance on the subject but couldn’t find anything. When she shared her struggles with her community, however, she soon received a hand-writtern fairytale from a friend. The touching story was about a family of rabbits, and when Tigranuhi read it she felt she needed to share it not only with her daughter but with all children who have lost their loved ones.
Soon enough, another friend created wonderful illustrations for the story, which was then published.
Upon the publication, Tigranuhi wrote:
“When in couple of days you see this book in bookstores, know that with each copy we give you unlimited LOVE. In this loveless world, we will give you love, so that you can pass it on to someone else in some other form. Energy doesn’t vanish, it is transformed.”
